Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi sent a message to Kosovo north Serbs. Thaçi said that he is ready to talk to them. Thaçi does not speak Serbian to make them an offer, but he said in Albanian what he had to say to Serbs.
Pristina, Kosovo – Tuesday, November 29, 2011
“I want to meet them and talk to them. I am ready to listen to them, to their concerns, issues, and preoccupations – to assist Serbs in the north more than Belgrade does. Belgrade cannot help them. Belgrade is keeping them hostage,” Thaçi stated.
In an interview to Serbian news agency Tanjug Thaçi expressed his commitment to serve even those who do not like him. “The government is not in conflict with the citizens in the north. Unfortunately, for twelve years there has not been any rule of law and democracy, no free elections have been held there,” Thaçi said. PM Thaçi also promised investments in northern municipalities of Kosovo.

However, PM Thaci’s statement sounds quite contradictory in relation to his previous statements when he had named local Serbs of northern Kosovo as thugs and criminals.

Will northern Kosovo Serbs who call PM Thaci as terrorist accept his offer?; say that certainly it would not accept. Serbs of northern Kosovo, already have opened fire against NATO peacekeeping forces and such an argument certainly is not in question that answer of the Serbs will be negative to the country’s prime minister.
