Momcilo Arlov and Vuk Mitrovic, director and associate of the NGO Center for Civil Society Development from Mitrovica were arrested in Negotin (Serbia) in early November while transporting a large amount of weapons in their official vehicle.

Negotin, Serbia – Friday, December 2, 2011 / The independent NewsweeK
They were ordered to 30 days detention at the District Detention Center in Negotin.
“The investigation against Momcilo Arlov from Mitrovica (north) and Vuk Mitrovic from Kladovo with residence in Mitrovica was initiated due to the unauthorized production, possession and bearing of firearms and explosives”, said the investigation judge Tomislav Milojkovic from the High Court of Negotin.
According to their statements “they are employed by the NGO Center for Civil Society Development in Mitrovica”.
Arlov is currently under treatment for health issues at the special detention hospital, I’ve proposed an extension of his detention for another month since it is nearing completion”, said judge Milojkovic.

The independent NewsweeK sources from Mitrovica north (Kosovo) told us that Mr. Arlov’s car was attacked with Molotov cocktails in the last year for reasons of conflict of interest in the black business.
“Arlov’s car is attacked with Molotov cocktails on October 20, 2010, but this is interpreted as an attack against a person who cooperates with international institutions which are close to Pristina government.
But in fact this was an attack by an interest group to another group who are dealing with the sewage business,” says the anonymous source, which did not want to be identified for reasons of risk to life.
In fact, the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society has made a public statement in support of Mr. Arlov, on the occasion of his attack that was made in the above mentioned date according to our source, but to investigate for the motives and purposes of this attack is not safe enough to be investigated by a journalist, an investigation that seems to have been impossible to be developed by the investigative authorities, who have known about the case, but do not know about the motives yet.
