Zvecan, KOSOVO – Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Radovic told reporters that “Commissions have commenced the work in municipalities, voting material is being printed and will be ready tomorrow. Municipal administrations have updated the voting lists and other technical details”, said Radovic and added that “referendum will be organized in regular manner”.
Radovic also explained that it is about four referendums in four northern municipalities, while procedures are the same. Question, whether you accept institutions of so called state of Kosovo – is presented in that way, because our citizens and our institutions are under pressure to accept institutions of quasi state in Pristina”, said Radovic and added that everyone is offered an opportunity to circle “yes” or “no” at referendum.
“Entire strategies have being made for resolving issue of northern Kosovo and Metohija, but always without Serbs who live here and without consideration for their will”, explained Radovic.
“Most of the ballots will be printed in Serbian language in Cyrillic alphabet, while municipal boards will decide over the number of ballots which will be printed in Albanian language”.
“Regularity will be monitored by commissions, while domestic and foreign observers are invited, too” said Radovic. He added that plebiscite will take place at polling stations which are situated at schools, without interrupting education process.
“There will be 82 polling stations in four municipalities in northern Kosovo where around 35.500 citizens have a right to cast the ballots”, said Radovic.
