The KSF (Kosovo Security Force) along with Kosovo institutions marked the beginning of the traditional manifestation “KLA Epopee”.

In the Military barracks “Adem Jashari” in Pristina, on Monday, March 5, 2012, KSF (Kosovo Security Force) along with Kosovo institutions marked the beginning of the traditional manifestation “The KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) Epopee” an event that marks the lapidary history of ethnic Kosovo Albanians.

After the homage and placing of wreaths at the memorial dedicated to all the fallen heroes to liberate the country, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, Parliamentary chairman Jakup Krasniqi, General Lieutenant Kadri Kastrati along with the Minister of KSF Agim Ceku as well as the son of KLA Legendary Commander Adem Jashari, Mr. Bekim Jashari, took their seats on the stage to address after to the participants.
Lieutenant General Kastrati called the today’s event as mythical that even today we are as once united, adding the slogan of honoring the past, building the future by built Kosovo Security Force for the requirement standards of NATO, said Lieutenant General Kadri Kastrati. Meanwhile, Hashim Thaçi, one of the former leaders of Kosovo Liberation Army, currently prime minister, recalled the event that the fair was baptized epics, the fall of Adem Jashari Jashari in Prekaz, a story that shows the price of freedom, a masterpiece in the history of the universal struggle for freedom, a unique model of sacrifice for the nation’s homeland.
This time he also reiterated that the “liberators were all citizens of Kosovo” and everyone should enjoy the fruits of freedom.
KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) Commander Adem Jashari was killed in 1998 along with 45 members of his family by Serb Security forces in village of Prekaz.
