A serious road accident has taken place in the Himara-Saranda roadway, where a bus full of students has fallen for at least 100 feet in the mountain slope.
TIRANA, Albania – According to yet unofficial information, there could be 8-12 victims, while many others have been seriously injured. The bus was traveling from the city of Elbasan to Saranda. The local witnesses report that there are several injured.

Police say a bus believed to be carrying high school students has fallen off a cliff in Albania. There was no immediate information about how many passengers were on the bus or the extent of casualties. It is reported that the bus was transporting around 40 students for the summer holidays.
Spokeswoman Klejda Plangarica told AP the bus went off the road Monday near the town of Himare, 137 miles (220 kilometres) south of the capital, Tirana. Police and medical workers were heading to the crash site.
