Riot police, top, break a glass window as housing rights activists, who block the building entrance, protect their faces and shout during Elvira Reyes Mariano and her family’s eviction in Madrid, Spain, Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. The landlord’s loss of the apartment to Bankia bank is causing Reyes Mariano and her family’s eviction. Reyes Mariano lives with her husband Soltero Rodriguez Cuevas, 44 years old, both unemployed, her sister and their three kids. They continued to occupy a foreclosed Bankia bank apartment after their landlord left as they could not afford to pay rent. Dozens of housing right activists tried to stop the process by blocking the building’s entrance but riot police removed them and evicted the family. (AP Photo/Andres Kudacki)
